Two trains crashed in dense fog at St Johns Railway Station just outside Lewisham, in south east London, after one of the drivers had failed to miss a signal to stop. 90 people were killed and nearly 200 more were injured. Cliff Mills recounts his own personal experience of what is still the worst British rail disaster of the past 50-odd years.
