  • In this story Michelle recalls growing up in North London in the the 1940's and 1950's; she remembers the cafe that her parents ran, and the hard work involved raising a family, and running a business in an era before timesaving devices were commonplace, and the things we are fortunate take for granted now, such as a bathroom, and a television were a luxury in those days.
