Harry Petman recounts his early childhood memories of living in war-struck London. As a small child, Harry was separated from his family and evacuated from the city. He talks about the impact this had on his family, how hard it was to be separated as a child and his school experience during this time.

Then she went to Greece for a year "to swim" before returning to India and meeting the man she would marry.
