Derek Cattani started working for as the Football Association's film librarian and worked alongside the England manager Alf Ramsey filming the team's training sessions and then those and other films of England’s performances and their opponents to help Ramsey develop tactics in the three years leading up to 1966. He also made Alf very nice cups of tea! Here he recalls how he got one memorable shot of Alf and his team in hysterics watching one of the films he had shot of Nobby Stiles played backwards which ended up in the Daily Mail.
