Alex Mitchell speaks in a very positive light about his time doing National Service. He was fortunate to have job where he did not have to train or due guard duty but look after the officers, a 'Back Man' as it used to be called. It was a great atmosphere and he even formed a Skiffle band with some of the other men. Alex also talks about how he met his wife and how she waited for him after until after he finished his National Service when they consequently got married. Alex has always lived in Hackney, East London. He recalls what the area was like in the 60s and 70s and how he used to see the Quay Brothers out and about the place...

Rob Williams was an enterprising and enthusiastic amateur movie-maker all his life. He chronicled the life and times of his friends and family on film and video for many decades. This is a film he made in 1994, three years after the death of his beloved wife Eileen, in the place where they met in South East New Brunswick. It's a lovely story of romance, and a wonderful tribute to Eileen.

In the second part of her interview, Muriel Webb speaks of how her life changed after getting married at 21 and leaving her adoptive mother. After the breakdown of her marriage Muriel found herself alone and vulnerable, it was charities like Social Contact Group' that supported her throughout the years. Muriel has tried to find her real mother several times over the years, even publishing an article in The Sun newspaper. Until now she has unfortunately not found any information.

It's said that Hugh's first ever spoken word was "Argyle" but when it came to getting married, he had to fix the date before the club fixture list was published. The day turned out to coincide with a home game, so Hugh was in a dilemma. Fortunately the bride was also a fan, so they got the ceremony over in time for some of the guests to get to the match. But Hugh isn't telling whether he was able to join them!
