DAVID WALLIAMS SWIMS THE THAMES FOR CHARITY
Today is the 10th anniversary of the atrocities at the Twin Towers, and it seems a good day to remind ourselves that there is some good in the world. Comic actor David Walliams is swimming 140 miles down the Thames in aid of the Sports Relief charity. Despite the rain, crowds of well-wishes turned out all along the route to cheer him on. Here he is swimming past Kingston upon Thames - having completed more than 100 miles of the adventure, which is due to finish later this week at the Houses of Parliament. Well done David.
