Story Vault Blog
Hello and welcome to the new StoryVault blog, the official source for updates and information about StoryVault.
StoryVault is a new website giving all of us the chance to preserve the remarkable memories of our friends and families so that future generations can enjoy them and learn from them.
It might be your parent’s memories of their wedding day, which should be preserved for their grandchildren. Or they may have witnessed or taken part in extraordinary events – like the Battle of Britain or the fall of the Berlin Wall. Perhaps you know someone who was at an early concert by The Beatles or lived through the Tsunami.
Most people have a story that would be of interest to future generations.
StoryVault encourages users to interview a friend or family member, usually on video, and to upload the content into the site. You can then mark some content as “private”, accessible only for chosen friends or family, or you can make them available for the wider world. Over the years StoryVault will develop into an invaluable record of your own family’s history, and also as a resource for anyone interested in any historical event.
We hope that StoryVault will become THE PLACE for people from all over the world to share and upload content and for browsing and searching for fascinating never heard before stories.
We intend to use this blog to:
- Provide up to date news and information on StoryVault
- Highlight information about new features and enhancements, both current and future
- Give you a more in-depth look at some of the content uploaded
Additionally we want to hear from you! What do you think of StoryVault? What do you like about the site? Is there something you would like to see added or improved? Tell us!
