Why Lili Callon moved to London from Spain in 1996
Lili Callon was born in Spain, she moved to London in 1996. She talks about her memories of living under Franco’s rule when she was a child and the big strike in 1972 against his leadership. She also talks about her grandfather’s terrible time fighting in the Spanish Civil War. He was detained in Caziz for five years. She believes that people living in Spain now, are not aware of the extent of suffering of the people who fought in the Spanish Civil War, and how much times have changed.
