With all the recent news about unseasonal flooding, it's interesting to recall the massive flooding that took place in Fleetwood 35 years ago in 1977.  Local resident Dorothy Hornby tells the story to her Grandchild - of how the spring tides flooded up to one-third of the houses in the town, and how the families had to live without electricity for a month.  Put "Fleetwood" into the search engine ande enjoy Dorothy's story.
