ARMISTICE DAY - the centenary

Posted at 11-11-2018 by: The StoryVault Team

Armistice day always reminds us of the thousands of stories of heroism and tragedy relating to two world wars - and many of us with grandparents who fought in World War One regret that they were unable or unwilling to pass on their memories to we who benefited from their sacrifices.  The vast majority of those who experienced world war two directly have also passed on, but not all - and so this is a good time of year to get out there and interview anyone you know with any childhood memories of the conflict.  Evacuation, bombing, stories from parents or loved ones.  Do it now, before it's too late.
